If a 5p piece can cover it, it can generally be repaired; anything bigger than that unfortunately can't be.
Repair before it spreads
Small chips and minor cracks can often be safely repaired without replacing the entire windscreen. This is usually quicker, more convenient and more cost-effective than a full replacement.
Our technicians carefully assess the size, position and type of damage to determine whether a repair is suitable. If it is, we'll use professional resins and curing equipment to restore clarity and strength to the glass.
When can a windscreen be repaired?
- • Chips up to the size of a 5p coin
- • Damage away from the driver's main line of vision
- • Cracks that have not yet spread significantly
- • Damage that has not broken through both layers of glass
If a repair is not safe or likely to last, we will always recommend a full replacement instead.
